Motorcraft XY-75W85-QL SAE 75W-85 Synthetic Rear Axle Gear Oil // Bronco, Bronco Raptor & Ranger
Genuine Motorcraft XY-75W85-QL SAE 75W-85 Premium Synthetic Hypoid Gear Lubricant, the rear axle fluid Ford specifies (WSS-M2C942-A) for the 2021–2026 Ford Bronco, 2022–2026 Bronco Raptor and 2024 Ford Ranger. Add it to your rear differential cover order and you have everything you need to refill the axle when the new cover goes on.
// Pick your fitment, get the right amount
Each fitment option is packed with enough quarts to refill that rear axle after a cover swap.
| Fitment | Ford rear axle capacity | You get |
|---|---|---|
| Bronco (non-Raptor) | 63.6 fl oz with e-locker / 65.3 fl oz open | 3 qt |
| Bronco Raptor | 63.6 fl oz (e-locker) | 3 qt |
| Ranger 2024 | 65 fl oz standard / 60 fl oz locking | 3 qt |
| Single quart | Top-off or extra | 1 qt |
Capacities from Ford owner's manuals. Fill to the bottom of the fill-plug hole; do not overfill.
Why 3 quarts? Ford's rear axle capacity for these trucks is 60–65 fl oz, right at or just over 2 quarts (64 fl oz). The third quart covers spillage, the extra a new cover can hold, and filling to the bottom of the fill-plug hole, so you are never a few ounces short mid-install.
2019–2023 Ranger owners: Ford specifies SAE 80W-90 (XY-80W90-QL) for your rear axle, not this fluid.

FAQs
Why is RAPTOR program more expensive than the standard program?
The RAPTOR bead lock rings carry a nearly $3,000+ from Ford. Obviously, we don't want to have to charge a $3,000 core charge. Thanks to the community, we're able to source OEM wheels or OEM rings as take-offs to use as cores. The average cost for these is above our $500 core, however we trust the community to return rings to keep the program going. Thank you for your interest.
